Mr. Light & Associates, Inc. has been created to advocate for survivors of severe
childhood trauma and educate professionals on the issues that surround childhood ritual abuse.
Ritual Abuse exists at the extreme end of the generational abuse continuum. It has remained deeply hidden and is only now being recognized and studied.
When incest and domestic violence continue through several generations, those patterns of abuse and violence can expand to involve groups of people – grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. What once involved a single perpetrator and victim, may now evolve into group participation along extended family lines, i.e. the redistribution of children for sexual purposes, the beginnings of organized abuse.
Family members find themselves bound together in a deviant lifestyle. A hierarchy made up of the most powerful perpetrators evolves to control group members and maintain absolute secrecy. Clandestine meetings are designed and held in ritual (ceremonial) settings to traumatize and terrify group members into submission. Honored belief systems held by the greater community become twisted in order to condone the abuse. The mistreatment is so severe and prolonged that it causes chronic Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Dissociative Disorders, including multiple personalities, in its victims.
Over the generations, family groups expand creating networks of deviancy, waiting for a few brave and wounded survivors to break the silence and bring their knowledge of ritual abuse into the light of day.
